Before you begin the background blur process, make sure to edit your video. You can trim clips, add transitions, music, and other effects to set up the final version of your video.

Once you’re satisfied with your initial edits, export the video and save it to your device’s gallery. This will create a version of the video you can work with for the background blur effect.

Make sure that the blur effect covers the entire background of the video. Adjust the intensity of the blur if needed to get the desired level of focus on your subject.

Once you’re happy with the blur effect, export the video again. This will create a new version with the blurred background.

Now, open a new project in CapCut to combine your blurred video with the original footage.

Add the video with the blurred background into the new project as the base layer.

Next, add the original video as an overlay on top of the blurred video. This will allow you to manipulate the original footage while keeping the blurred background intact.

Ensure that both the original video and the blurred background video are in sync. Match the two timelines so that the overlay works smoothly with the background.

Now, use CapCut’s “Remove Background” tool to isolate your subject. This feature allows you to remove the background of the original video while keeping your subject visible.

Finally, customize your video further by adding text, effects, filters, or other edits to make your video stand out. You can adjust the blur intensity, add transitions, and fine-tune the overall look to fit your style.
