In this guide, we’ll walk you through the steps to factory reset your JBL Tune 770 NC headphones. If you’re struggling with connectivity issues, poor sound quality or unresponsiveness factory resetting your JBL Tune 770 NC noise-cancelling headphones might be the way to go.

Also, if you’re troubleshooting, preparing to sell or give them away, you can restore your headphones to their original settings.

When you factory reset your JBL Tune 770 NC headphones, they return to the state they were in when you first unboxed them. This means that all paired devices are removed and any custom settings or EQ adjustments are erased. The headphones will also be ready to pair with any device as if they were brand new.

Perform a Factory Reset

First, ensure your JBL Tune 770 NC Headphones are connected to the JBL Headphones app. Then, open the app and select your Tune 770 headphones.

In the app home page, scroll down and find the Support option. Tap on it to expand on the settings.

Under Support, you should see the Reset to Factory Setting option. You will receive a warning that your headphones will be restored to default and disconnected from the app.

Tap on Reset to confirm the factory reset. Your JBL Tune 770 NC Headphones will go off, then power back on and enter directly into pairing mode.

Because they will disconnect from the app as well, you should see them detected in the My Products page of the JBL headphones app. Also, if you go to your phone’s Bluetooth settings, you should find that they have unpaired from Bluetooth.
